Dangerous trees on farm
Neerim East
Neerim East
ABOUT THE PROJECT
Accurate Group were called to work on a farm in Neerim East. A row of pine trees had been planted many years ago for a wind break and shelter for livestock.
In recent years the health of the trees had deteriorated and were becoming a hazard to livestock and farmers.
The trees were removed and stockpiled for burning at a later stage. The farm is grazed by cattle so the stumps were ground out, allowing for reseeding and returning to grass.
PROJECT CHALLENGES
The tree row was along the property boundary, to keep the dividing fence line we worked from one side, cutting the trees and grinding out the stumps afterwards.
The property is steep; to keep workers safe, the project was done in dry weather conditions, which also helped the paddock remain in its original condition.
