Our Story

We have the expertise and equipment to complete every tree removal project no matter the size.

Accurate Group (Aust) Pty Ltd is proudly owned by Peter and Steven who have both worked with Accurate for 15 years. In this time, they have developed their skills and knowledge of commercial projects and pride themselves in their work.

Based in Pakenham, we have helped with projects all over Victoria. Clearing for housing estates, roadway and freeway upgrades, pipeline and irrigation upgrades, bridge construction, firebreaks, bushfire clean ups and much more.

Where it all began

It all started in the early 90’s by Peter Skinner a carpenter from Clyde, southeast of Melbourne. Peter built many homes and relied on subcontractors to do the site cuts, footings, and trenches. Wanting to complete these tasks himself he bought a backhoe. This began a passion for earthmoving and heavy equipment which soon led to a fleet of excavators and trucks.

It wasn’t long before Peter saw a need for a more specialised and environmentally friendly land clearing method. Investing in his equipment Peter bought a custom-built vertical tree grab, long reach excavator with grapple saw and a Vermeer tub grinder. This brought a new way of land clearing within built up suburbs which eliminated the need for bulldozers and burning.

The need for mulching was evident and Accurate Group led the industry from tub grinders to the faster and safer horizontal grinders, the current one being a tracked Bandit 3680 Beast.

In early 2008 Peter Elian and Steven Skinner officially joined Accurate Group as operators just two weeks apart. Later there was a big expansion for the company seeing transport brought inhouse with the purchase of a quad float and prime mover. Also, with a smaller 20-inch chipper, travel tower and stump grinder would ensure every job could be tackled big or small.

12 years later it was time for retirement and in 2021 saw two employees became the company directors. With the knowledge of the industry, clients, equipment and task at hand, the changeover was seamless for Peter and Steven, who are continually looking to improve quality and efficiency in every job.
